Last week, Josie and I attended the annual Public Relations & Marketing Seminar hosted by the North Carolina Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Like the other years I’ve attended, I found this to be a worthy professional development investment. I spent some time with the PRSSA students at both Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University these past weeks. In both sessions, the students asked about professional development, continuing education, etc. I a big advocate of PD — whether through an association like PRSA or through a college or university. We believe in it so strongly here at HMA Public Relations, that we offer up to $1,500 a year to each employee.
